These Chocolate Nut Oat Balls are one of my go to favorite treats if I am craving something sweet or chocolaty. They are dairy and gluten free, can be put together in just 10 minutes and perfect to enjoy with a cup of tea 

They are heart healthy as they contain good fats from coconut oil, almonds and flax seeds. And, just two balls provides 4 grams of fiber (women over 40 need 21-25 grams per day) which helps keep you feeling satisfied and full in between meals. So you will be less likely to grab something not so healthy!

Super food Chocolate Nut Oat Balls

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup almonds
  • 1/3 cup flax meal
  • 1/3 cup oats
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 2 tbsp lite craisons or cocoa nibs

Instructions

  1. Grind almonds first in food processor. Add all of the other ingredients and mix to combine.
  2. Roll into 12 small balls.
  3. Store in the fridge for up to 5 days or in the freezer for 3 weeks.
  4. Enjoy!

75 calories each ball     7.5 grams carbs     2 grams fiber      4 grams sugar      2 grams protein     4.5 grams healthy fat
