✴️Shortcuts save me all the time!✴️
If it wasn’t for this little ready-made pack of hummus I keep on hand, I would have been tempted to grab a handful of…..or…..
you can fill in the blanks!!
Ok, I could have grabbed an apple or something else healthy but here’s the thing.
At the end of the day after making decisions all day long, we don’t have the "filter" as we do in the morning to make the best choices.
It’s "harder" to say no to a bag of Miss Vickie’s salt & vinegar chips sitting on the counter or following through on your plan to workout.
It’s called decision fatigue. 🙄
Our brain is tired, we want the easy thing, and can quite quickly talk ourselves out of making healthy choices when it comes to food or getting that workout done.
Most of us have no problem saying no to Miss Vickie’s chips at 9 in the morning, but at 4 PM that’s a different story!
Here’s what helps:
✅take shortcuts when it comes to eating. Have hummus in handy packs on hand, buy pre-made salad if you have to, or veggies cut and ready to go
✅schedule in those workouts early on in your day before your brain has a chance to say no
✅simplify and do your #1 priority first
And above all, stop making decisions and start making commitments.💯
